Margret Ann Crone – educator, writer, yogini, and artist extraordinaire – would like to make one thing clear: she will not, under any circumstances, consume a Philly cheesesteak this summer! That disclaimer aside, she’s wide open to adventure. This inspiring, thoughtful instructor will lead a Creative Writing course that brings a whole lot of pizzaz to your pages. Her laid back, fun-loving vibe will encourage you to probe your imagination and unleash your storytelling voice. Under her guidance, you’ll learn how to craft character, make your plot pop, and read like a writer. In the ever-wise words of Ms. Frizzle (of Magic School Bus fame), get ready to “take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!”

About Margret Ann Crone | Educator, Writer, Yogini, Artist

Margret Ann holds a Bachelors degree in Philosophy from Barnard College, the women’s affiliate of Columbia University. She loved her undergraduate experience so much that she decided to return to Columbia, this time in pursuit of a Masters degree in Higher Education. And, well, you know what they say about the “third time”—this fall, she’ll begin an MFA program in Creative Writing at (you guessed it!) Columbia. She’s also a certified yoga instructor and looks forward to teaching classes for all who are interested.

In addition to writing and yoga-ing, Margret Ann lives for reading, globetrotting, and running. She completed her second half-marathon (the “Diva’s Half-Marathon,” to be precise) in October and received a pink feather boa and bedazzled tiara upon crossing the finish line! She has her sights set on someday running a marathon in Iceland, her home away from home.

Having attended pre-college programs herself, Margret Ann knows firsthand the transformative experiences that await her students this summer. She’s thrilled to return to the Blueprint community and be a part of making this an unforgettable program. She’s excited to get the creative juices flowin’ in the classroom, on the yoga mat, and in Lehigh’s quirky cafés!
