That's up to you! We have many students enroll for either the 1 or the 2 week program so there will always be plenty of action. Blueprint has one session at each campus, but you can choose the 1 or 2 week program. If you stay for 2 weeks, material covered in your major is fresh in week 2 so you'll be discovering new things in the classroom, on new trips and with new projects!
All students have a roommate unless your family chooses the single room option during the registration process. Roommates are carefully selected according to age and interests. For students planning to attend with a friend, Blueprint offers the option to make roommate requests during the online application process.
For each week of your program we set up a $150 Road Trip Account for your student. This money covers student travel on program-wide field trips, admission to exclusive events and meals on those trips. For your student's time on campus and for extra spending money on road trips, we do recomend sending your student with $75 per week for souvineers, and anything else they might want to buy during the program.
Cell phones and laptops are allowed but not required, and general program guidelines govern their usage during the program. And just like college, students are responsible for keeping track of their belongings. Additionally, all programs have access to multi-station computer labs that students can use to connect friends and family.
Yes, each program maintains a designated airport that offers full airport pick-up and drop-off service for our students. Students may request Blueprint's Pick-Up/Drop-Off service during the online registration process for an additional fee of $95 (one-way) or $195 (round-trip). Additionally, students traveling by plane should plan to arrive between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and depart at or before 12 p.m. Blueprint's designated airports are: Stonehill College: Boston, Massachusetts, Logan International (BOS) Lehigh University: Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Philadelphia, PA. George Washington University: Reagan National Airport (DCA) Washington, D.C.
We interview hundreds of applicants each year, and Blueprint staff members are the best and the brightest in their fields. Instructors include partner-school faculty, gifted graduate students, and talented professionals. Our national recruiting campaign draws people from across the country, ensuring that each team is comprised of experienced individuals dedicated to creating a safe and fun experience for every student.
The majority of students do come alone, but friends and family are absolutely welcome and roommate requests are available during the registration process. Either way, you're guaranteed to have a great time on campus and making friends is easy.
The programs are not the same; in fact, each program possesses its own special personality and culture. Courses offered reflect academic strengths and facilities, and we work hand-in-hand with each school's faculty and staff to ensure you have the best possible experience. Blueprint sets very high standards for each program and they all share several basic features.
Our instructors do not assign homework nor do they test their students. We encourage students to learn for the joy of learning.
Blueprint partners with select colleges to provide students with the highest quality pre-college summer programs. Each program enjoys the full support of its partner-school, offering students the opportunity to meet with admissions counselors, attend faculty guest lectures and explore life on campus.
